I bought this Carote pot and pan set in August 2023. I was moving into a new place and really liked that the handles come off. This saves space when storing them. The product listing used to say they were dishwasher safe, but that part is gone now. Big mistake! After one wash in the dishwasher, the bottoms got covered in black marks. These marks came off on everything they touched, like my hands, clothes, and counters. Yuck! Even though the dishwasher thing was a disaster, the pans themselves seemed okay. Then, in February (after 5 months of use), the nonstick coating started to bubble and chip off. I contacted Carote about it (that’s when I noticed they took the “dishwasher safe” part off the listing). They were very nice and sent me a whole new set right away. I’ve been using the new set for about a month now, and because they’re nonstick, washing them by hand is a breeze. I would still prefer a set that can go in the dishwasher, but otherwise, I really love these pans! If you don’t mind handwashing, I totally recommend them. Read more…
