They have a white granite coating. This coating is supposed to be very durable and non-stick. I have been using the set for a few weeks now. I have been very happy with it. The pots and pans are easy to clean. The food does not stick to them. I have also been able to cook a variety of different foods in them. I have made everything from pancakes to stir-fries.
